Due to the schools population the students recieving ESL/Bilingual services is below the state average. Students recieving Special educational services is 8% above the state average.

Woonscoket High School is well below the state average in the math, writing, and science NECAP assessments acording to the 2011-2012 Infoworks data, The reading scores indicated a 65% proficient rating which is 11 points below the state average. In comparision with perivious years inprovements is reading and writing have been made, but the data shows that math and science scores have not changed substantily.
SAT scores were all below the state and national average with reading again leading with a 442/800.
A small percentage of the schools 1700 students took AP exams with 24% mastery, which is well below the national average.

More than half the students felt their course work is getting them ready for college and their teachers expect them to attend college.

A very small percentage of the students polled felt that none of their needs were met every teacher as well as all of their needs were being met by all of their teachers.

The once great city of Woonscoket once a major manufacturing hub in the United States, is broken, unemployment is up, personal income is down, it was reported in the June 13th edition of the Providence Journal, it was reported that the only large retail activity in the city is when food stamps and goverment assistance payments are available. The past decade has not been kind to the city.
With this distraction in place the High School recieved the highest level of accredition from The New England Associations of Schools and Colleges. This accredition is a testiment to strong foundation that is evident by the findings of this report. The High School has also moved is state ranking from warning to typical. Improvements have been made and their is a result that may continue and could possible act as on of the engines to move the City foward.
